We have been improving the livelihoods of members since 1997 by promoting the culture of saving among our members, based on values of self-help, self-responsibility, democracy, equality and solidarity.
These values remain at the heart of Nkwazi and serve as guidelines for the Board and the general membership. Officially registered under the Cooperatives Societies Act on the 24th of July 2017, the Cooperative has undergone numerous changes over the years.
The Board of directors oversee the overall strategy and operations of the cooperative and are elected by members at the Annual General Meeting.
Each year at the Annual General Meeting, members with the highest saving are recognized and awarded.
