Nkwazi Co-Operative Savings & Credit Society Limited is pleased to announce the new Board of Directors after the 19th AGM held on the 17th April 2015. The Board is segmented into Executive Committee, Credit Committee, and Education as stated in section 7.04 and 13.00 of the byelaws.

i. The Executive Committee - This Committee shall be responsible for Administration policies, operations, and investments of the co-operative.

ii. The Education Committee - This committee shall be responsible for publicity, education, and training programs of co-operative.

iii. The Credit Committee - This committee shall be responsible for approving and dispensing loans and ensuring the recovery of the same.

The Administrator is present at Board meeting but is not a member of the Board per se and cannot vote on motions.

Thank you for all the feedback we have received concerning the KYC process. We since made the following updates to the process;

1. The KYC form has been updated to incorporate your suggestions on the “next of kin” information requirements.

2. We providing the KYC form in softcopy for easy of completing it.

3. We have created a quick guide for swift completing of the form.

Nkwazi Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Limited is registered with the Cooperatives Societies of Zambia. It has been in existence since July 1997.
The objectives of the Cooperative are to; encourage thrift and provide loans to its members for productive use.

Nkwazi Cooperative Savings and Credit Society Limited is registered with the Cooperatives Societies of Zambia. It has been in existence since July 1997.
The objectives of the Cooperative are to; encourage thrift and provide loans to its members for productive use.

Membership is on voluntary basis and is open to local employees under the umbrella of the United States mission and its agencies and all institutions that may be admitted in accordance with the By-laws.

There are over 400 members with accumulated savings of over K10 million. Contributions by members to the Cooperative are channeled through payroll deductions and a non-refundable application fee of K200 is charged.

The dividends for the year 2012 were paid at the rate of 6.0% and the interest on average savings was paid at 6.5%.

Investments: A land search is still being conducted and new developments will be communicated to the members as soon as a viable contract is established.
